Hi, Iām Arsalan and I know how hard it is to put your software development career on a solid path. I also know that new and aspiring developers need senior developers, like myself, to show them some empathy – to show that we care and we want you to succeed. There is no need to suffer alone. Let’s make software development a nurturing, helpful, and rewarding career for everyone.
We have a lot of problems in our industry that are pushed under the rug. We can’t collectively pretend everything is OK when we know deep down that it’s not true. New developers need technical guidance. But even more than that, they need to know that it’s OK to be a woman, a member of a racial or religious minority, old or young, able-bodied or disabled.
We can make our industry inclusive and welcoming through mentorship and apprenticeship.
